My Life Magazine: Letter From the Editor

One of my favorite topics of conversation here at My Life Magazine is, where have you come from and where are you heading?

Women are often challenged over who they are or who they should be. There are women running some of the most influential companies in the world, there are women with babes-in-arms influencing the next generation, and there are women from all walks of life in between. The media and strategic advertisers’ set our ideal body image, define must-have fashions, tell us what we should eat, what’s cool to drive and how we should live—and much of the time, we believe them.

Maybe it’s worth asking.

Who are you—really? Are you traditional, refined, chic, modern, funky– fun? Laid-back, energetic, a deep thinker? Are you open, consciences, spontaneous, or shy? What’s your favorite color? What’s your fashion style? Do you even know?

Life and the issues we deal with have a way of clouding our view.

Stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, and loss —they take a toll on our emotional well-being. And then there are relationships, dating dilemmas, financial stress, career pressures and school.

Inspiration, encouragement and motivation —these so often come by way of example. My Life Magazine is here to help you navigate through life’s challenges, problems, dilemmas and changes. And to remind you just how wonderful life really is –or could be!

You have something special —your own uniqueness.

Your individual genetics, personal experience, environment, peer circles and the society you live in, have all contributed to who you are. And, who you are is really important. If no one has ever told you that, or you’re not feelin’ it –then I’m telling you now.

No matter what you’re going through now or what’s happened to you in the past, it doesn’t need to define you. You get one shot at life and it’s only yours to live. —And don’t forget that how you live can have a profound effect on those around you.

Dust off your dreams and pick up the shattered hopes you thought you’d lost forever. You’ll find them both, right where you dropped them. Even when bad things happen, life is still good.
